THE TOURNOI DE VILLEMOMBLE IN FEW WORDS
For the 16th year, the Villemomble fencing club organizes the Tournoi de Villemomble, one of the events of the Handisport Fencing circuit event on two weapons Epée and Foil. This competition is part of the national classification handisport ranking. It's also the most important Disabled-Valid International Fencing Competition in Europe.

With around 150 disabled and valid, Men and Women, fencers coming from all over the world, the Tournoi de Villemomble includes the following categories:
> Seniors, Juniors Disabled & Valid Men in wheelchairs
> Seniors, Juniors Disabled & Valid Ladies in wheelchairs

AN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
First French, the Tournoi de Villemomble became international since 2009. After the European nations, the borders of the old continent have been surpassed since 2011 by hosting Tunisia, Lebanon, Turkey and Algeria.
The Tournoi de Villemomble is now the biggest European Disabled & Valid Fencing event where the world's best Paralympic Fencers meet each year.
Through the editions, we have welcomed the following nations.

The Hopes & Novices Competition will be held on Saturday. The finales and award ceremonies will be held with the senior ones.
In order to allow each delegation and no parisian fencers to visit Paris, there will be no dinner on saturday and everyone will be free after the cocktail.

THE RULES
Participation
- Only junior to veterans fencers will be able to participate in the senior competition.
- The participation of U17 fencers will be decided by the organizer, who will refer it to the corresponding federation.
License
- To participate, French fencers must have a valid FFE or FFH license.
- To participate, foreign fencers must have a valid international or national license which provides them insurance which covers for fencing in competition on French territory.
- In case of license absence or non-insurance coverage for the conditions of the competition, the fencer engages his own responsibility.
Equipment and clothing
Clothing
• For FFH (French Disabled Federation) licensees, the 800N uniform is not mandatory.
• For FFE (French Fencing Federation) licensees, the 800N under-plastron is required according to the active sporting regulations.
• For foreign licensees, the regulations associated with the license and / or the insurance conditions apply.
• For women, the FIE lady protection bustier is mandatory.
Mask
• For all competitors, the mask with double security devices is necessary.
• For specific points, refer to the active regulations of your own license.
Mask with electric bib
- For the foil competition, a fencing mask with an electric bib is mandatory.
- The use of the « foil fencing mask with electrical bib » will be tolerated for the Epée competition for fencers who participate in both arms.
Sword apron and wheelchair
- All disabled fencers have to bring their own wheelchair in order to participate to each competition of the Tournoi de Villemomble.
- All disabled fencers have to bring their own sword apron in order to participate in the sword competition of the Tournoi de Villemomble.
- For valid fencers, sword aprons and wheelchairs will be loaned within the limits of available stocks.
Registration and booking fees, and cancellation
- Once the registrations will be closed, registration fees will double. The organizer could decide not to apply this extra cost.
- A participant who has not notified his cancellation at least 24 hours before the beginning of the competition will have to pay all subscription fees
- Any booked service (lodging, meals, transfer) which has not been cancelled at least 15 days before the first date, will be fully due.
Prizes & award ceremony
- Prizes and rewards will only be given to fencers who will be present on the podium during the awards ceremony.
- No prizes or rewards will be given afterwards and/or to a third person.
- Fencers on the podium will be the first 4 in each weapon (1st, 2nd and both 3rds).
- If no category B fencer is on the podium, a B final will be drawn to decide the winner of the B category among the 2 best B in each weapon.
- The Tournament prize will reward the best fencer in the both epee and foil competitions. This classification will mix men and women according to a formula which considers the difficulty, for each, to win each competition (sex and weapon). This difficulty will take into account the number of fencers entered per competition.
Rights cession
- By participating in or attending the competition, the participant or the spectator accepts the reproduction and the representation of the images captured directly and edited as a summary or a coverage. This concerns any supports and any methods considered as useful by the organizer (Video-projection, streaming, websites, social networks, e-mails, promotions, public events, files, press releases, newspapers, magazines, etc…). This transfer concerns all forms of images: photographic, video-graphic and sound. It has a promotional, informative, and non-commercial aim. The recordings will remain the property of the organising Fencing club as well as that of its audio-visual partner(s). This authorization and the accompanying rights transfer are granted free of charge, without restriction of territory for a period of 4 years. This transfer does not necessarily entail an obligation to operate.
Referees
- Until 4 fencers of the same club or the same foreign delegation, the club or the delegation has to provide a referee.
These rules can change until the tournament.
THE ENDOWMENT
The Tournoi de Villemomble, Juniors & Seniors, will be endowed with around 4000 € in prizes.
Each day
The 4 firsts in each arm are rewarded (1st, 2nd and both 3rds).
The 2 best B in each arm are rewarded if any stand on the podium.
On both days
The winner of Tournoi de Villemomble Trophy will be the fencer (man or woman)
who will have the highest score combining Sword + Foil.

Rewards are not cumulative in the same competition.
THE LOCATION
Salle polyvalente Paul Delouvrier 33 à 35 route de Noisy 93250 Villemomble (France)
Villemomble is located 15 km from the city of Paris, 15 km from the Roissy Charles de Gaulle International Airport, accessible from highways A3 and A86. We will provide transportation from the Airport or Station to your hotel as well as to and from the fencing installations.
THE SET-UP
22 slopes will be installed to assure a maximum of comfort for all fencers, disabled as well as valid.

A free shuttles service is offered to all participants to connect Paris railways/airports, hotels (2) and fencing complex during the 4 days:
Friday: Paris railways/airports (1) > hotels (2)
Saturday: Hotels (2) <> Fencing complex + Fencing complex > Paris railways/airports (1) for those who go back on saturday
Sunday:
Hotels (2) <> Fencing complex + Fencing complex > Paris railways/airports (1) for those who go back on sunday
